We had the awesome opportunity to meet and converse with admirable pro-life leaders including: Father Frank Pavone, Dr. Alveda King, Jim Pinto, Ryan Bomberger, Joy Pinto, and other inspiring leaders.  Pictures and videos we took from the event are embedded below so that you can get a taste of what the future Pro-Life Freedom Rides will be like.  Keep in mind, these events are historical. These peaceful protests, pro-life assemblies, marches, and freedom rides are going to be in tomorrow’s history books.  Abortion is not forever. We are on the winning side, the side that exults LIFE!

What can you do to support this ministry?

FIRST – Watch the videos. Gain from the inspirational speeches. They are a gift to strengthen the pro-life community.

SECOND – Attend one of the Pro-Life Freedom Ride events.  If you cannot go to the one being held in Knoxville Tenn. this October, help us to bring it to Pensacola.  Only average Joe’s like you and I can make this happen.

THIRD – Seriously consider donating to Priests for Life, the organization hosting the Pro-Life Freedom Rides.  They are in dire need of help right now because they have $800,000 in bills to pay and are a completely non-profit, donation supported ministry.

MOST IMPORTANTLY:
Please pray for an end to abortion and for the success of the efforts of pro-lifers.

Pro-life Ambassador Training event!

It served to create a foundation for our understanding of abortion.   To be clear, Aaron presented a expansive history of abortion; what people believed about unborn children and what laws were in place.  We learned that science asserts that human life begins at conception, and with all further advancements, science continues to reassert this truth.   Also, statistical information from the CDC provided the various reasons why women aborted.  Lastly, we were informed on the various abortion procedures employed for younger to older unborn persons.

All this information has set the stage for us to fully grasp the topic of abortion in our country and time. This has prepared us for this upcoming week’s presentation on “Wisdom & Character.” (Wed,6PM,Bldg 11/Rm 223)

  • Wisdom: Knowing the facts, having extensive knowledge on a topic, having expertise.
  • Character: Employing an artful method, having an attractive manner.

For those who could not attend the first Pro-Life Ambassador event, we recorded it and will have it available online soon along with notes!  This can all be used whenever someone asks you about why you are against abortion. You can then show that you have looked deeper than the pro-abortion sing-songy slogans and studied the issue thoroughly.

Trust me. I have encountered many “pro-choicers” (as they say) who do NOT expect to hear sound logic when they speak to a pro-lifer. Prove ‘em wrong.  Remember, your beliefs are founded by irrefutable scientific facts and true logic.  If they don’t let you get a word in, it’s because they are afraid of the truth you hold.  Be kind, be friendly, and speak the truth :)

A place that’s been at the center of the abortion debate for years in Pensacola is shutting down.

The Community Healthcare Center, one of Escambia County’s two abortion providers, closed its doors last Friday.

Channel Three’s Greg Neumann joins us now with more on the clinic’s future.

During a routine inspection by the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration last month, inspectors discovered that the center’s laboratory license, which is separate from their abortion license, had been expired for 413 days.

That led to a choice for the center: pay a huge fine, or shut its doors.

There’s little to no activity at the Community Healthcare Center today.

That’s because its owners chose to close it, rather than pay a 413-thousand dollar fine to AHCA, the Agency for Healthcare Administration.

Ernie Cyr: “It’s just a complete joy and what a blessing on our community to have this facility close.”

Pro-life advocate Ernie Cyr had been leading the Forty Days of Life protest outside the clinic, which just ended on Sunday.

He saw a legal notice in the local paper Tuesday, stating that the center was terminating its practice.

Ernie Cyr: “I’m in the dark just as much as the next person, so we don’t really know why exactly. We call it a miracle, really.”

…Or more likely, an oversight by the clinic.

Whatever the reason for the expired license, AHCA lawyers did offer the clinic a reduced fine as part of a settlement agreement, but never received a response.

Bernadette Ensley, UWF’s Students for Life: “For this to up and close the last weekend of Forty Days of Life is really shocking and great.”

Bernadette Ensley is a UWF senior who heads Students for Life.

That group and others will now concentrate their protest on AMS of Pensacola.

Bernadette Ensley: “It just gives us time to focus on the other abortion clinic and praying and being out there for support.”

Now, we don’t know for sure if the Community Healthcare Center is closing for good, because no one affiliated with the clinic would speak with us Wednesday.

But an AHCA spokesperson says they can’t reopen until they pay that fine.
